Guided tour Espace Landowski

Romy Schneider was a fascinating actress due to her fragility and determination, who continues to live on in French collective memory. This exhibition, built on a chronological basis, plunges visitors deep into the life and career of Romy Schneider. Your guide will present you archived documents, photos, original posters and magazines dating back to this period and will narrate stories and memories of directors, partners and fans. You will then be immersed in the fate of an exceptional woman through collectors’ items that reflect the cult worship that Romy Schneider inspired from an early age and as well as the role she played in the Franco-German reconciliation.

Exhibition from November 4, 2011 to February 22, 2012.

In partnership with Deutsche Kinemathek de Berlin, and with the collaboration of Dr. Daniela Sannwald, curator of the Berlin exhibition. Under the patronage of Miss Sarah Biasini.

  • The covered passages of Paris

    Passages couverts

From the Palais Royal, your guide will take you along to Galerie Vero Dodat for its beautiful art bookshops and onwards to the Galerie Vivienne, one of the most majestic passages, with Italian mosaics on the floor and a glass roof. The Galerie Vivienne will lead you to the Galerie Colbert, where exhibitions are regularly organized. Philatelists will appreciate the Passage des Panoramas, which leads to the Grands Boulevards made famous by Yves Montand’s songs. Very popular in the 19th century as an access way to the Grands Boulevards from the Palais Royal, the thirty remaining roofed passageways (formerly 140) enable you to plunge into a ”time warp”, cut off from street bustle. Today, one can find all kinds of shops here, as well as some cafes and especially, the remnants of a recent past where strolling and parading oneself was an essential activity of daily life. Starting in the sumptuous Palais Royal garden, you will then be transported through these nearly secret passageways, in the heart of Paris.
