With its latest exhibition, the Manufacture des Gobelins will revive the spirit of French chic from 12 October 2022 to 19 February 2023.

On display to the public for the first time, nearly 200 iconic works from the reserves of the Mobilier National will celebrate French creative genius. From Jules Leleu to Gilbert Poillerat, you will discover the exceptional work of some of the most illustrious designers of the last century.

Designed by Vincent Darré, the exhibition's presentation will revisit the richness of the decorative arts of the 1930s-1960s, a period marked by the exploration of the line and heralding the beginnings of contemporary design. The exhibition will also feature the meticulous restoration work carried out by the workshops' craftsmen and technicians, who still contribute today to the conservation and handling of pieces as complex as they are varied.

Lastly, "Le chic !" also highlights an iconic institution, with a rich three-century history whose collections adorn the most prestigious places in the Republic.
