Although the collections on display at the Hôtel National des Invalides cover France's glorious military exploits, the place also possesses a very different story, that of the post-war period and the life of wounded soldiers. Come and (re)discover the site on its 350th anniversary and immerse yourself in the daily lives of its pensioners!

This guided tour will make you discover the living conditions of the soldiers cared in the Invalides, from the creation of the place until today. Punctuated by the explanations and historical anecdotes of your guide, the tour will begin with the famous Cour d'Honneur and then pass through an old refectory where the boarders ate. The Cathedral of Saint-Louis des Invalides and the Church of the Dome will be the end of this tour where you can admire the magnificent architecture of the place.

Your tour will take you on a journey through the various roles that Les Invalides has played throughout its history, without ever ignoring its orignal purpose of providing care for soldiers.
