Montmartre, a historic and touristic area, was not always as it is today.

Poor, dangerous and frivolous, this out-of-town spot which acted as a refuge for marginalised artists and was the birthplace of several artistic movements, is now one of the most beautiful areas of Paris and an entertainment hotspot.
This visit will take you back through time and history. Firstly, you will discover the Renoir gardens, named in honour of the painter and a real haven of peace overlooking the last remaining vines and the site of the famous paintings 'Dance at the Moulin de la Galette', 'The Swing' and 'The Gardens of rue Cortot'.

Montmartre, a historic and touristic area, was not always as it is today.

Poor, dangerous and frivolous, this out-of-town spot which acted as a refuge for marginalised artists and was the birthplace of several artistic movements, is now one of the most beautiful areas of Paris and an entertainment hotspot.
This visit will take you back through time and history. Firstly, you will discover the Renoir gardens, named in honour of the painter and a real haven of peace overlooking the last remaining vines and the site of the famous paintings 'Dance at the Moulin de la Galette', 'The Swing' and 'The Gardens of rue Cortot'.
Your guide will then take you to an 18th century residence, home to a whole host of souvenirs and collections: the French Cancan, Shadow theatre, cabarets with the famous Chat Noir and the arrival of the Moulin Rouge.

Your visit will then take you to the famous workshop-flat where Suzanne Valadon and her son Maurice Utrillo lived. This astonishing reconstruction opened since October 2014 immerses visitors into the atmosphere of artists' workshops where paintings, palettes and easels intertwine, offering a breathtaking view over the city of light.
