Explore the world of the famous couturier Yves Saint Laurent in a privileged way during this group tour with speaking rights.
The Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris, which opened in October 2017 in the historic town house at 5, avenue Marceau, now offers visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the couturier's studio. Preserved since its closure in 2002, all the spaces have been redesigned to preserve the historic atmosphere of the place. Having housed the haute couture house for over 30 years, from 1974 to 2002, a thematic selection of Yves Saint Laurent's creations can now be viewed by the general public.
The temporary exhibition, which will be open to the public in advance of the opening, will give you a chance to appreciate the full breadth of the couturier's work. Spanning more than 450 m2, the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Paris pays tribute to the cultural and creative contribution of one of France's leading haute couture houses, and explains the manufacturing processes behind its creations.
TRANSPARENCIES From 9th February 2024 to 25th August 2024
The second part of a series of exhibitions that began last summer at the Cité de la dentelle et de la mode in Calais, the "Transparences, le pouvoir des matières" exhibition can now be seen at the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Paris. More than 40 textile pieces are on display, illustrating the designer's changing approach to revealing the female body.
