On this visit to the Musée des arts et métiers you can discover some of recent history’s most important inventions; Meyer’s bicycle, the Lumière Brothers’ cinematograph, Bell’s telephone, Nasmyths’ steam hammer, and much more.

For an hour and a half, your guide will tell the story of a revolutionary age of great discoveries, impressive innovations and technological milestones, and take you on a fantastic journey to the heart of the 19th century.

Essential information

Museum closed Mondays
Purchase of a guided tour does not include the price of entry to the permanent exhibition: this must be purchased separately. A supplement of €50 is payable for groups visiting on Sundays, public holidays and during evenings.

Entry to the permanent exhibition is free on the first Sunday of each month, and on Friday evenings between 6pm and 9.30pm.
