Views and landscapes : the view of Raoul Dufy

Museum of Montmartre - Paris

  • Type : Workshop
  • Duration : 1h30

A journey into the lives of the artists of Montmartre

This workshop teaches children about the artistic buzz which prevailed in Montmartre during the 19th and 20th centuries.
Using Raoul Dufy, a resident of Montmartre and pioneer of Fauvism, as a reference, pupils learn about his artistic methods: non natural colours, quick gestures, incorporation of a personal feeling into the painting.

It is then their turn to express their emotions and their dreams through their painting. They can paint a landscape of their choice. Maybe one which they would secretly like to wake up to every morning when they open their curtains, or the landscape in an existing painting.

An inventive and fun workshop making dreams come true.
