Bookings and access

The UNESCO headquarters is located in Paris’s 7th arrondissement, close to the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars. Access to the site is strictly regulated and is only possible with a reservation through our online ticketing platform. Address: UNESCO - Paris 7th arrondissement Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the tour for security checks.

Tour format and languages

Guided tours for individuals and families are available by reservation, on fixed dates. Available languages (individual tours): French, English, Spanish

Group tours Tours for pre-booked groups are available in a wider range of languages. Please indicate your preference when submitting your request to: unesco@cultival.fr Languages available: French, English, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Italian, Armenian, German, and Japanese. Groups accompanied by their own independent interpreter are welcome.
 

School groups

Supervision is mandatory:

  • 1 adult for every 12 children (over 6 years old)
  • 1 adult for every 8 children (under 6 years old)

On-site services

UNESCO official shop: Extend your experience by visiting the official UNESCO shop, offering souvenirs, books, and items related to World Heritage. Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am-1:15 pm and 2:15 pm-6:00 pm If your visit takes place outside these hours, a selection of products is also available on the official UNESCO e-shop.

Restoration: The UNESCO headquarters includes several dining areas (restaurant and cafeterias), available only upon prior request and subject to authorisation. Visitors wishing to reserve a dining area as part of their guided tour are invited to request this in advance through our booking service. Contact: unesco@cultival.fr Access to these areas cannot be guaranteed and depends on the site’s operational constraints on the day of the visit.

Security guidelines

To ensure visitor safety and the smooth running of the tour:

  • An official ID is mandatory
  • Recommended arrival time: 15 minutes before the tour
  • Late arrivals cannot be admitted
  • Dangerous objects are prohibited (scissors, knives, box cutters, etc.)
  • No cloakroom is available: suitcases and large luggage are prohibited
  • Photos are allowed only with a mobile phone (cameras are not permitted)
  • Some areas may be restricted depending on diplomatic activity on the day of your visit
