For an hour and a half, embark on an in-depth tour of the museum’s collections focused on a specific theme. A wonderful opportunity to deepen your knowledge and gain a fresh perspective on the museum’s works!
 
On Saturday, November 8 at 3:00 pm, get your ticket for the guided tour “A Walk with the Artist Lodie Kardouss.” As part of a residency at the Limoges Opera, visual artist Lodie Kardouss takes on the roles of director, set designer, and creator of lighting and costumes for Handel’s "Messiah". Join this unique dual-voice tour with a guide and stroll alongside the artist through the museum to discover works connected to the production.

 

On Sunday, November 30 at 2:30 pm, join the guided tour “Ceramics and Literature”. What do Jean de La Fontaine's fables, the novels "Manon Lescaut", "Paul and Virginie", and "Au bord de l'eau", and the plays "The Barber of Seville" and "Le Pavillon de l'Ouest" have in common? All these stories inspired the creation of works exhibited at the museum. This tour will show you the links between literature, theatre and ceramics. On Saturday, December 27 at 2:30 pm, explore the "Rituals ans traditions in the history of ceramics" during a guided tour with one of our expert guides. In this festive season, discover customs from around the world told through the story of ceramics, some of which are now even recognized on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

 

Reservations are recommended. Places are limited to 20 participants.

This tour is only available for French speakers. If you would like to take part, please note the following information:

Visitors who are normally entitled to free admission need only purchase the “Single rate” ticket.
Admission to the museum is free for all on the first Sunday of every month.
The museum is also free for visitors under the age of 26, working teachers, group leaders, artists and authors, jobseekers and recipients of minimum social benefits upon presentation of proof dated no more than 6 months previously.
