From 6 years old, children can explore the museum without their parents! Embark on a 2-hour activity including a fun, interactive tour of the collections, followed by a hands-on art workshop, all supervised by a museum guide.

On Saturday, October 18 at 10 a.m., take part in the children’s tour and activity called “Duck Workshop”. As part of the “Faire moderne” exhibition at the Limoges Museum of Fine Arts, ceramist and designer Anthony Bortoluzzi returns to the museum! After discovering the slip-casting technique and the finishing steps, children will be able to paint their own little porcelain duck in an Art Deco style. Creations can be picked up at the museum a few weeks after the activity.

On Wednesday, October 22 at 10 a.m., for Halloween at the Adrien Dubouché national museum, book your ticket for the “Witch Hat and Bats” tour and activity. The museum team needs the children’s help! They must find the friendly ghosts who move objects and play tricks on visitors. After outsmarting their mischievous tricks, children will be able to create Halloween decorations in clay, either for the museum or to take home.

On Saturday, October 25 at 10 a.m., sign up your child (or children) for the guided activity “Tick-Tock, what time is it?”. Do you hear the ticking? It’s time to join a treasure hunt set to the rhythm of passing time! Clocks, pendulums, and solar dials are hidden throughout the museum. Children will have to find them through challenges and search games. The activity will continue in the workshop, where each participant will create their own clock on a porcelain plate!

On Wednesday, October 29 at 10 a.m., reserve a spot for your child (or a loved one’s) to take part in a guided workshop on the theme of Christmas celebrations. The workshop, “An Owl for the Christmas Tree”, will be led by Anne Merlet. Children are invited to discover the slip casting technique to create a little porcelain owl. Once fired, it can be hung in the museum’s Christmas tree or at home! The finished pieces can be collected at the museum a few weeks after the activity.

Each visit is limited to 12 participants. Reservations are recommended.
